Mother’s Day provides an opportunity for mother and child to bond through fashion  

Happy belated Mother’s Day! It goes without saying, parenting is hard work. While most are content to dress casual, dressing-up is something Sunan and Sienna enjoy doing on a daily basis. The evening before our Mother’s Day shoot Sienna had a fever so we met the following week. The morning of our shoot Sunan sent me a text saying Sienna insists upon wearing her princess outfit. I’m not sure if Sienna knew about our shoot. I simply think she was being a strong willed 4 year old. We made a couple small changes to Sunan’s outfit and we were able to “Make it work.” As soon as we parked it was time for them to put on their fairy wings. I tagged along and watched as the princess fairies paid a visit to the enchanted pond and mystical woods.
