Sidewalk Runway: Ukraine

Despite the weather, Ukranians continue to be fashion headliners

During my time in Kiev, Ukraine I saw a fair amount of fashion in a short span of time. While there were large numbers of casually dressed people, I speculate they have a higher percentage of fashionistas than Vancouver. Whereas Vancouverites tend to pair Gortex jackets and ankle boots, Kievites embrace the fall weather with style. In my 3rd episode from the “Sidewalks of Kiev”, I wanted to highlight the different types of colorful coats I saw. Both coats on the right are sold at BCI CBOI (which exclusively sells Ukrainian designed and made fashion). The Mallmen coat on the left sells for $183 CDN ($3,500 UAH) and also comes in Red & Black and Yellow & Black. The coat on the right sells for $78 CDN ($1,500 UAH).
