Miss Canada 2016 to help promote the Philippines

Siera Bearchell is set to return to the Philippines to help provide a boost to the ailing tourism sector

Canadian beauty queen Siera Bearchell is set to return to the Philippines once again, this time to help in the country’s tourism efforts.

Bearchell, who represented Canada in the 2016 Miss Universe pageant held in Manila early this year, said she is out to “test if it’s truly more fun in the Philippines.”

“I am partnering with @philippinestourism + @cebupacificair and some of the BEST resorts and hotels,” she wrote in an Instagram post.

“Maybe I’ll see you there,” she added, not giving further details.

Bearchell last visited the Philippines in February for the launch of Tim Hortons, Canada’s iconic coffee and donuts chain, in Manila.

She finished in the Top 9 of the 65th Miss Universe pageant.
