Restaurant Review: Popina

If west coast seafood is what you crave then look to Granville Island!

On Granville Island, Popina has recently opened. They’re serving up West Coast seafood but in a fast food/take out format to be easily accessible to tourists and Vancouverites.

We had the Grass Fed BC Beef Cheeseburger and the Smoked Wild Salmon and Quinoa salad.

The BC Beef Cheeseburger is packed with: lettuce, tomato, pickle, cheese all in a toasted bun with a BC beef patty. The patty is juicy and peppery – mixed with the crunch from the lettuce and pickle, it’s everything you’d want in a cheeseburger.

The Smoked Wild Salmon and Quinoa salad is a healthy dish – but still very flavourful. The quinoa gave this salad some weight to it and the salad dressing complimented the smoked wild salmon.

I definitely will have to come back and try some of the classics on the menu!
