Even the most classic black look can use a little sprucing up with accessories

When it comes to basic black even the most classic look can use a little help. What I liked about May’s outfit is that she had all the elements: a dark wool coat, some opaque tights and the new fall boots. She made her look unique by adding some brightly coloured handmade buttons and, suddenly, it went from monochromatic to slightly eclectic – subtle but effective. A few variations might include:
