One of the largest influences on fashion over the past few years has been the military look. It has dictated the resurgence of the parka; shaped the style of footwear with the combat boot; and offset bright colours with subdued versions of Khaki and taupe. Nala’s look embraced this trend because she took a utility jacket and army boots and paired them with a soft cashmere sweater and linen shorts.  Worn together, it was the perfect combination of utilitarian chic and downplayed glamour.
