Sidewalk Runway: Anime Revolution
Anime Revolution 2013 showcased an array of interesting fashion choices
The Anime Revolution 2013 took place August 16 – 18 at the Vancouver Convention Centre. It was almost as fun to watch the expressions of tourists as it was to see the people dressed up as their favorite characters. While there was an endless variety of costumes and characters I liked Kirenenko and Beatrice.
Photo 01: Usavich is an animated short film about two rabbits jailed in a Soviet prison. Jen is the human form of Kirenenko. She’s seen dressed in a striped prison uniform wearing the number 04.
Photo 02: Anita is portraying the 1,000 year old Golden Witch Beatrice. According to legend Beatrice can be quite cruel but she also has joyful childish side.
