Lawyer, with Hong Kong ties to run for NDP in Richmond East

Local lawyer who started his career in Hong Kong runs for political office 

The BC NDP have nominated Aman (Amandeep) Singh – a noted local human rights lawyer – as their candidate in the newly created riding of Richmond-Queensborough.The India-born, Hong Kong-raised, Singh has been practicing law in the Lower Mainland for 18 years. He studied Anthropology and Physics at the University of California, Berkeley, and obtained his Law degree from the University of Victoria. According to NDP leader Paul Hogan, Aman’s passion in working closely with Indigenous groups, national and international non-governmental organizations makes him the ideal candidate. Singh resided in the Richmond-Queensborough constituency for over 20 years, and is considered the ‘local candidate’.
