Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair celebrates 35 years

More than 300 students compete to advance to the Canada Wide Science Fair

People can take a look at student projects at the 35th Annual Greater Vancouver Regional Science Fair at the AMS Student Nest April 8 from 9 am to 12 pm.

Every year, the judging committee selects 17 of 320 students to advance to the Canada-Wide Science Fair. The CWSF is being held in Regina, Saskatchewan this year. The GVRSF team has won many awards at recent CWSFs.

More than 230 projects will be featured. Projects will be based in the fields of energy, health, information, environment, innovation, and resources, for example. The students who qualified at the regional fair have advanced from their school and district fairs. In the 10 school districts in the Lower Mainland, more than 100,000 students from grades 7 to 12 had a chance to qualify for the science fair.
