Cheryl Ng crowned Miss Chinese Vancouver 2017

Hong Kong-born Ng will represent Vancouver in the Miss Chinese International 2018

Cheryl Ng, a 24 year old technologist, won the crown for Miss Chinese Vancouver 2017.

She also won the Beauty Court Sparkling New Star Award & Vancouver Laser and Skin Care Most Charming Award. Ng, who was born in Hong Kong, is an animal rights advocate.

First runner up was Ruby Ng, who also won the Arctic Fame Diamonds Miss Photogenic Award.

The 23-year-old New Brunswick student is also a karate black belt master.

Second runner-up Tingting Niu also won the Dairn Shane Outstanding Intelligence Award & Doctor Face Experience Best Complexion Award. The 22-year-old student who was born in Jilin, China, graduated from the University of British Columbia with a major in Interdisciplinary Performance and Visual Arts.

Shayna Ding took home the Beauty Court Sparkling New Star Award

The Gala raised $580,000 for Chi Heng Foundation Canada to help HIV-impacted children in China for their basic needs and education.

Cheryl Ng will be one of the favourites to win Miss Chinese International Pageant 2018 as the winners of the Vancouver pageant have dominated this competition over the past two decades.
